"I have a long history of serving my community and my country. I know how important it is to have confidence in a system that works for the people. Not one that reveals masked prejudice and unethical conduct by those entrusted with our most precious records and valued documents. We deserve a system we can trust. That is why I am running for Kent County Clerk. My military training in the US Navy and over 30 years of project management experience makes me fully capable of creating a County Clerk’s office we can trust. One that understands our community and the times we live in."
"I will ensure records are accurately reported, all ballots are counted and not lost or spoiled because of careless election processes. I'll use my organizational skills to help the office run more smoothly and efficiently. Citizens and courts will get access to important documents in a timely manner, and businesses will have access to faster, more reliable registration information. I will also ensure technology, software and the Kent County Clerk's website is continuously updated so everyone benefits."
The current County Clerk provides a personal report card with performance at 99% to 100%. However, there is no transparency provided for:
Number of recounts required under County Clerk's responsibility
Number of precinct bags disqualified from recounts (there are hundreds of ballots in each bag)
Miscount, broken chain of custody, lost, missing, not counted
Number of candidates left off ballots
We never deserve self-serving leadership. Here's proof our Kent County Clerk's Office took a pay raise during the COVID health pandemic, while other county officials declined. Click below:
